"We the People"

In the 21st century, for all intents and purposes, a United States for the people does not exist. It has instead become a country of random people with no attachment to the country who, in some cases, harbor loyalties that prioritize a different country. Others have come here and prioritize the interest of bringing those they identify with to our country for the sake of advancing the interests of that collective they identify with. But this is just the beginning.

The elite, who play the role of the old planter class, use their money power and lobbyism to have all the machinations of the state working in their interests. We had NAFTA, so they could outsource or park their production and manufacturing facilities abroad - cutting out the American worker - and not have to pay tariffs to reintroduce those goods back across the border; we had NAFTA so they could access cheap labor from across the border or anywhere else - cutting out the American worker - all the while driving down the value of domestic-born labor, affecting wages. Again: where is we the people in this construct?

The nation that the Declaration of Independence was supposed to free, and the nation that the U.S. Constitution was supposed to protect, is being cast aside, forgotten and replaced.
